General Information on Undergraduate Program
The department aims to train future historians, either as teachers or academicians or prospective functionaries in the various walks of life. Thus the philosophy of the curriculum is to enrich the general culture of the student and to increase his intellectual capacity in historical studies. The curriculum is so arranged that the subjects other than Ottoman-Turkish are taught in English, enabling the students to use and read literature in both languages.
