Nesim Seker: Assistant Professor of History
Social Sciences Building, room #Z30 Nesim Seker's main area of concern is modern Turkish history, particularly socio-political history of modern Turkey in the 20th century. He focuses on nationalism, ethnic separatism and forced migration in the process of the disintegration of the Ottoman Empire and establishment of the Turkish Republic, 1908-1923. He received his B.Sc degree from the Middle East Technical University, department of History, Ankara, in 1993 and his M.Sc from Uludag University, Institute of Social Sciences, Bursa, in 1995. Dr. Şeker received his Ph.D degree from the Middle East Technical University, Institute of Social sciences.
